Canada-wide Standard for Petroleum Hydrocarbons in Soil

Winnipeg, Canada - A draft revision of the Canada-wide Standard for Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHC) in Soil is now available for public review and comment until June 18, 2007.

The Canada-wide Standards for Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHC) in Soil set out the levels to which sites contaminated by PHCs must be cleaned up - if and when they are subject to remediation. The standards will have important impacts for the oil and gas industry, as well as environmental engineers and remediation firms.

Scientific rationale and technical supporting documents are also available in French and English.
