MARIETTA, Ga.—Birla Carbon will increase specialty carbon black prices globally by up to 9 percent for all shipments made on or after April 19.

The increase, Birla said, is necessary due to “increasing costs of doing business in all regions” and helps to ensure the continued supply of high-quality carbon blacks.

Birla Carbon is a global supplier of carbon black, with products that have applications in paints and coatings, plastics, and adhesives, among others.
