Sierra Leone is a country where the earth hides an eternal promise: diamonds. A small piece of rock, a symbol of wealth and desire, which in this corner of the world represents much more. In Sierra Leone, everyone is looking for diamonds. Big companies, local traders, entire families, and even children are looking for them.

It is a desperate race to find that stone that can change their life, but the price to pay is often very high. With this reportage, thanks to the indispensable support of @ActionAidItalia-ETS, we were able to document the stories of children linked by a common thread: the promise of a better future if only they can find that diamond that shines in the earth.

This mission is not just a documentary, it is a call to action. The children we met dream of leaving the mines and building a different future, full of opportunities.
