Klean Receives Trademark & Expands Carbon Upgrading Patent Portfolio
Vancouver, British Columbia – Klean Industries Inc. (“Klean”) a leading provider of gasification and pyrolysis waste conversion technologies is pleased to announce that it has now received its registered trademark for Klean Industries(r) which has been approved by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO as of March 8, 2016. Registration No: 4,912,879 for waste processing machines and equipment using carbonization, pyrolysis, and gasification methods to convert waste into liquid fuels and energy, in class 11 (U.S. CLS. 13, 21, 23, 31, and 34). The trademark consists of the words “Klean Industries” to the right of the company’s logo, a circle containing an inner solid circle having a series of ribbon-like shapes placed adjacent to each other at the right angles in a circular fashion.
Klean is now a registered trademark with legal proof that Klean Industries(r) obtains the right of the exclusive use of the trademark. Unlike other technology vendors, Klean Industries(r) maintains a portfolio of patented technologies that have an existing commercial track record and have been applied to a multitude of applications for the conversion of waste materials into value-added resources and clean energy.
The company is now in the process of adding and preparing additional filings for new patents to expand its portfolio based on its advanced know-how and commercial installations. Jesse Klinkhamer, Chief Executive, commented, “A strong intellectual property position has always been a fundamental objective of the company, and we are pleased by the grant of our registered trademark as it will further enhance our technology portfolio, our market position, and offering along with building shareholder value as we continue to add further innovations in preparation of our company becoming a listed public company.
In 2016 we anticipate filing for patents based on new advancements to our intellectual properties for carbon blending, rubber formulating, and mixing systems. This exciting news follows on the receipt of an additional utility model patent we have recently licensed. These additional patents will prove that Klean’s technologies are truly unique and will allow Klean to protect its technology-based a real and tangible market advantage for many years to come.”
Klean’s modular carbon blending systems are fully integrated with computerized control technology which allows for the plant to produce specific nano-carbon blends on demand. The specially designed feeding systems enable precise discharge of both pelletized and powder carbon according to pre-determined formulas while the programmable controller controls all of the processing parts of the blending systems to ensure the highest level of efficiency and precision. The current opportunity for blending carbon with tire carbon blacks in the tire manufacturing sector has been unable to achieve such precise and consistent quality of output, Klean’s innovations change the game and open up the supply chains dramatically offering endless hi value opportunities. An invention patent is valid for 20 years from the date of application which means Klean’s technology, formulations, and business applications are under protection, preventing others from copying or using its technology without Klean’s consent for up to 20 years when awarded. Our superior innovations are why Klean’s operating plants are so highly successful and why the company technologies continue to thrive even during the downturn in the commodity marketplace.
Klean is a commercial provider of incineration, gasification, and pyrolysis-based technologies for the recovery of valuable resources and clean energy from waste. One of Klean’s specialties is converting Municipal Solid Waste into electricity. What sets Klean apart from all others when processing tires is the ability to convert the tire char into a valuable end product with well-established end users in a multitude of product applications. This is accomplished using Klean’s advanced upgrading technology that produces a recovered carbon black (“rCB”) which is a key end product that is upgraded through a patented multi-stage refining process known as Klean Carbon CBk process. As far as the company is aware, the Klean Team is currently the only group re-integrating recovered carbon black in new tires with major tire manufacturers around the globe.
