UK Electrolyser Firm Targets 100MW North American Hydrogen Market Expansion

Decentralized Hydrogen Expansion Strategy

UK-based membrane-less electrolyser firm Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2) could allow a US firm to produce up to 100MW of its hydrogen production systems for sale in North America.

CPH2 signed a 24-month memorandum of understanding (MOU) with engineering consultant Koch Modular to assess commercialising CPH2’s hydrogen production technology in Mexico, the US, and Canada.

US start-up Aternium has appointed a pre-front-end engineering design contractor for a 60MW green hydrogen and heavy water project in the US Mid-Atlantic region.

The company selected construction engineering firm Kiewit to conduct the early-stage design and engineering work on its planned project in Delaware, which it says could be the first of a “multi-plant project.”

Advent Technologies will license its high-temperature PEM (HTPEM) fuel cell technology to Swiss-based EH Group for stationary hydrogen power applications.
