Titan to provide modularised manufacturing for EH2’s 100MW electrolyser under new partnership
Titan has partnered with Electric Hydrogen (EH2) to provide modular manufacturing for EH2’s 100MW electrolyzer, a move expected to lower costs and advance the hydrogen economy.
Electric Hydrogen (EH2) has partnered with Titan Hydrogen to ensure the fabrication and assembly of its 100MW PEM electrolyser plant.
At Titan’s US facility in Columbus, Texas, they will engineer EH2’s first commercial plant, deploying the same expertise and workers it would use to build traditional oil and gas infrastructure.
To ensure reliable and rapid deployment, the plant is pre-assembled and pre-tested before shipment to a customer site.
“By combining EH2’s proprietary advanced technology with Titan’s world-class process equipment fabrication expertise and facilities, we can deliver a superior electrolyser solution at half the cost of others in the market,” explained Raffi Garabedian, EH2’s CEO and Co-Founder.
Reportedly, EH2’s product can enable up to 60% lower total installed costs for electrolytic hydrogen. Furthermore, the company believes it can hit green hydrogen costs of $1-2/kg with its large-scale electrolysers.
Titan Production Equipment specialises in designing, engineering, and manufacturing custom separation, processing, and treating equipment for the oil and gas sector, along with clean energy solutions such as green hydrogen.
Chris Werner, Titan CEO, claimed his team’s “deep expertise and commitment” to scalability through standardised processes are “closely aligned with EH2’s modular product offering.”
The CEO added, “We are thrilled to be bringing the 100MW plant to customers to grow America’s hydrogen economy.”
EH2 is continuing to expand its global presence. Last week, EH2 partnered with Ingeteam to supply rectifier systems for its expanding European projects.
The power conversion system supplier has previously provided systems to EH2’s plants in San Jose, California and Devens, Massachusetts. Ingeteam will now supply rectifier systems that will be integrated into 100MW PEM electrolyser plants in Europe.
