AZuR Network introduces Austrian KIAS Recycling GmbH as a partner

The AZuR Network has partnered strategically with Austria’s KIAS Recycling GmbH to enhance tyre recycling initiatives across Europe. This collaboration aims to advance sustainable waste management practices and promote the circular economy by leveraging cutting-edge tyre recycling technologies.

In AZuR’s (Allianz Zukunft Reifen) network, material recyclers are essential buyers of end-of-life tires for secondary raw materials. Recently, AZuR introduced Austrian company KIAS Recycling GmbH as a partner.

KIAS Recycling operates the only used tire recycling plant in Austria, one of Europe’s most modern. At the Ohlsdorf site, up to 30,000 tons of end-of-life tires are broken down into their components, and the majority of them are recycled. KIAS extracts rubber (65 percent), steel (20 percent), and textile cord (15 percent) from car and truck tires with almost no emissions. The end products are high-quality materials that can be reused to manufacture new products. KIAS creates its own scientifically sound and practical solutions. The result is innovative products and customized applications for customers.

According to AZuR, KIAS makes an important contribution to the sustainable use of natural resources and, thus, to protecting the environment through the ecologically and economically sensible recycling of old tires. The KIAS recycling system ranges from pre-shredding to granulation and cleaning, and the company’s recycling plant meets the highest quality standards and offers maximum flexibility to meet customers’ diverse requirements.
