DECADES OF DELIVERING PROVEN CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES & SOLUTIONS

Besides a pioneering and dedicated management team, a highly experienced technical team, and an extensive network of industry experts and professionals, Klean Industries boasts a portfolio of “clean” technologies with multiple feedstock capabilities. Some of these technologies have been optimized to process the niche waste streams that are a core focus of Klean’s technology applications, such as scrap tires, mixed plastics, and municipal solid wastes. Multiple reference facilities, some of the world’s largest and longest-running plants, are dedicated to these waste streams.

Using only technologies with a long history of safe and efficient operations, Klean Industries can draw on decades of engineering excellence to ensure that each new project can be delivered with confidence only from such experience. These fully mature technologies have been continually refined, upgraded, and improved since their first conception in the 1960s; they are now fully optimized and highly efficient, using only a fraction of the recovered energy for process heat to power themselves.

As an example, some of our unique operational features that are a part of our proprietary designs save significant operating costs, such as our vertical kiln technology, which is a continuous tire carbonization process designed to take whole tires into the reactor, thus avoiding pre-treatment systems such as shredding and chipping. This also allows for the steel to be extracted whole rather than shredded, which reduces processing costs and improves the value of the steel recovered. Another example is the plastic depolymerization technology; this process has been perfected so that large volumes of PET and PVC can be included within the mixed plastic waste without a detrimental effect on the reactor or the end products.

Our access to and knowledge of different feedstocks is another key strength of Klean Industries. We continuously develop our network of feedstock suppliers and have access to large volumes of feedstock supplies around the globe from various sources. Controlling feedstock at the source allows projects to secure long-term supplies to run at full capacity. We help projects attract significant demand for cost-effective, green, and low-carbon-intensity commodities by producing high-quality recovered resources that fit seamlessly into today’s existing supply chains. This has meant Klean Industries has been able to forward sell each project’s production before the financial investment decision (“FID”), reinforcing the Klean business model.

The Klean Advantage:

  • Environmentally friendly technologies with +60 years of commercially proven history
  • Clean technologies that have been implemented on a large scale for world-leading industries
  • Cost-effective technology portfolio of hundreds of plants installed and operating
