Traxion Materials is expanding its tyre recycling operations in Campbell County, Tennessee, with a new investment that adds processing capacity and creates dozens of local jobs in the town of Jacksboro.

A Regional Tyre Recycling Network Takes Shape

Traxion Materials already operates a network covering tyre collection, wholesale distribution, shredding and processing, and the supply of tyre-derived fuel (TDF). Its primary facility is located in LaFollette, Tennessee, while the Traxion Tire LifeCycle Network reaches across Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. This footprint supports the recovery of end-of-life tyres across the southeastern United States, feeding material back into tire pyrolysis and other resource-recovery pathways.

New Investment in Campbell County

The company is expanding in Campbell County, Tennessee, investing more than $5 million and creating 49 new jobs. The project adds scrap tyre processing capacity and reinforces the growing commercial role of tyre recycling operations in the region’s industrial economy, where recovered material can be turned into recovered carbon black and other valuable outputs.

Broadening Recycling and Upcycling

The ongoing Tennessee project will further expand Traxion’s recycling and upcycling activities, building on the collection, shredding, processing and TDF supply the network already performs. Operators weighing similar expansions typically rely on feasibility studies to size feedstock, logistics and end-product markets before committing capital.
