Recovered Carbon Black Certification: Vericarb Program Brings Independent Verification to rCB

Recovered Carbon Black Certification

ACE Laboratories and Abdallah Consulting have launched Vericarb, an independent certification program that verifies recovered carbon black (rCB) against defined quality and performance criteria, giving the market a standardized way to evaluate the material.

Recovered carbon black, produced from end-of-life tires through pyrolysis, has emerged as a key sustainable alternative to virgin carbon black in rubber and polymer applications. But as a younger market, it has lacked the independent verification that buyers, compounders, and investors rely on in established supply chains. Vericarb was created to close that gap.

What Vericarb Certifies

Certification under the program includes independent material characterization and rubber performance data. For producers, that accelerates speed to market by translating material specifications into real-world performance and supporting faster, higher approval rates with buyers. For consumers, it means more capable suppliers, less time evaluating unknown materials, and a higher chance of first-time approval. For investors, it makes addressable volumes easier to size and reduces the test failures that delay revenue.

A Pioneer Driving rCB Standardization

“The rCB market has enormous potential, but growth has been held back by uncertainty about material quality and consistency,” said Erick Sharp, CEO of ACE Laboratories.

Dave Abdallah, founder of Abdallah Consulting and a pioneer in the development of recovered carbon black, explained the program’s intent. “ASTM standards are critical, but customers relate to a product better when its performance is shown in applications relevant to them. Vericarb solves the language issue by showing verified rCB in terms of rubber performance while adding credibility via third-party analysis and reporting.”

Abdallah serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to Klean Industries, where his recovered-carbon-black expertise guides the company’s rCB plant development. The Vericarb program is jointly administered by ACE Laboratories and Abdallah Consulting.

Build Certified Recovered Carbon Black With The KleanTeam

As standardization becomes the gate to rCB adoption, the winning position is a plant that produces verified, certification-ready recovered carbon black from the start.

Klean Industries builds those plants. Its Senior Strategic Advisor Dave Abdallah co-founded Vericarb, and the company has built eight recovered carbon black facilities in India over the past two years with a signed letter of intent to supply five more.

Why Choose Klean Industries’ rCB Plants?

✅ Verified rCB output — plants engineered to produce certification-ready recovered carbon black.
✅ India track record — eight rCB facilities built in two years.
✅ Turn-key EPC — design, build, and commission under one partner.
✅ Bankable feasibility — project economics validated before you commit.
