Nexera Advances Transition from Oil and Gas to Tire Pyrolysis
Tire Pyrolysis Business
Nexera Energy is advancing a planned pivot from oil and gas into an industrial tire pyrolysis business, seeking regulatory approval along the way.
Change Of Business Planned
The Calgary and San Antonio company intends to file a Change of Business application with the TSX Venture Exchange, reorienting toward recycling end-of-life tires through pyrolysis to convert waste tires into component materials.
Balance Sheet Restructuring Underway
Alongside the pivot, Nexera has negotiated with creditors to eliminate substantially all debt through forgiveness and conversion of obligations into equity. The Alberta Securities Commission granted partial revocation of a cease trade order to allow a placement of up to $320,000.
Early Stage, Not Yet Operational
The company has not yet detailed plant capacity, location, technology supplier or product specifications, and the transition remains subject to TSX Venture Exchange and other regulatory approvals.
A New Industrial Platform
If completed, the move would reposition Nexera around a scalable tire recycling and resource recovery platform rather than a functioning facility today.
