The TyreNova Architecture
TyreNova’s triadic design — kiln, quench, and thermal afterburner — manages the three critical stages of tire pyrolysis as a continuous flow rather than a batch process. The kiln thermally decomposes end-of-life tires in an oxygen-free environment. The quench stabilizes the hot product stream, controlling the quality of the recovered carbon black. The thermal afterburner handles the gas fraction, recycling energy back into the process. The result is steady-state production, not the start-stop cycles that plague earlier systems.
A Global Deployment Alliance
In 2025, Klean Industries and KBR announced a strategic alliance to deploy TyreNova worldwide. - Recovered carbon black (rCB) — a drop-in replacement for virgin carbon black in rubber, plastics, and inks
- Recovered fuel oil (rFO) — a low-carbon marine and industrial fuel, and renewable-diesel feedstock
