Tire Industry Project Adds Thailand Association as Affiliate Member

End-Of-Life Tires

End-of-life tire management is gaining fresh momentum in Southeast Asia as a global industry project adds its first Thai affiliate member.

Ninth Affiliate Member

The Tire Industry Project has welcomed the Thailand Automotive Tyre Manufacturers Association as its ninth affiliate member, expanding its network into Southeast Asia and adding representation from one of the world’s major tire manufacturing and export regions.

Thailand’s Role

Thailand is described as the world’s second-largest tire exporter by volume and is strategically important to tire sustainability. The country is also developing a circular economy ecosystem across the tire value chain.

Scope of Work

Affiliate members support the project’s work on environmental, social and governance issues affecting the tire value chain, including tire and road wear particles, end-of-life tire management and sustainable raw materials.

Regional Perspective

The Thai association represents tire manufacturers based in Thailand and works on trade promotion, industry coordination and ESG-related matters. Through its affiliate role it is expected to contribute local knowledge on recycling, sustainability and end-of-life tire circularity.
