SIGNUS End-of-Life Tyre Recovery Tender

Tyre Recovery Services

SIGNUS Ecovalor has opened a new tender inviting authorised operators to bid for end-of-life tyre recovery and valorisation services across Spain, strengthening the country’s circular economy framework.

A Structured Call for ELT Valorisation

Spain’s extended producer responsibility body for tyres has published a request for proposals to contract service providers for the recovery and valorisation of end-of-life tyres, known as ELTs. The tender documentation is available through the official SIGNUS website from 13 April 2026, with interested parties invited to submit applications between 13 April and 21 April 2026 at 14:00. Where an accreditation audit is required, applications must be lodged no later than 16 April at 14:00.

Submission Through a Digital Platform

Formal offers are to be submitted between 20 April and 24 April 2026 at 14:00, exclusively through the PROCURA DIGITAL platform. The full specifications are set out in two key documents: the administrative conditions and the technical specifications. Supporting documentation for applicants includes submission guidelines, a standard application form, a guarantee commitment, and proof of legal capacity to operate.

Multiple Lots for Different Recovery Routes

The tender is structured into several lots, each covering a distinct end-of-life tyre valorisation service, with complete detail provided in the official documentation. Through this process, SIGNUS aims to expand its network of authorised operators and advance sustainable, traceable management of waste tyres in line with Spain’s regulatory and environmental objectives.

For plant developers and operators, tenders of this kind mark exactly where capacity and service demand are consolidating. Recovering value from end-of-life tyres increasingly means pairing collection and shredding with tire pyrolysis, which converts scrap rubber into recoverable oil, gas, and recovered carbon black. These outputs feed real markets rather than landfill, turning a regulated waste stream into a feedstock for new materials and energy.

Because a producer-responsibility framework guarantees a continuous supply of collected tyres, the economics of a recovery operation hinge less on feedstock scarcity and more on process efficiency and offtake. Understanding the route to market before committing capital is what separates a viable project from a stranded asset, and a feasibility study anchors that decision in real throughput, yield, and long-term economics.

Turn Tender Demand Into a Funded Project

When a producer-responsibility body such as SIGNUS tenders for end-of-life tyre recovery, it signals steady, regulated feedstock flows for the operators that win the work. Converting that opportunity into a plant that actually runs requires the right technology and a clear economic case.
