HITEC Luxembourg Showcases Recovered Carbon Black Testing Technology at rCB Asia 2026

Recovered Carbon Black Quality

HITEC Luxembourg showcased its recovered carbon black testing technology at Recovered Carbon Black Asia 2026 in Bangkok, marking the company’s first participation in the Asian edition of the event.

Held on 3–4 September alongside Sustainability in Tires 2026, the conference brought together tire manufacturers, pyrolysis operators, material suppliers and end users to discuss the development and commercialisation of recovered carbon black in Asia.

For HITEC, the event offered a chance to meet professionals across the rCB value chain and address one of the material’s central challenges: achieving consistent quality from batch to batch. The company presented its Individual Pellet Hardness Tester (IPHT), used to assess pellet hardness, a property that matters as rCB moves toward wider industrial use.

Across the programme, speakers examined what will move rCB from limited substitution levels toward a much more significant role in tire manufacturing, spanning industrial production and consistency through to technology, performance and economics. Sessions also covered high-value applications, commercial scaling, tire pyrolysis oil and market dynamics in Asia.

HITEC said its team used the event to meet local customers and partners, including CG Engineering in Thailand and Highest Instruments in China, while highlighting the development of the Asian rCB market and the focus on making recovered carbon black a more reliable material for long-term use.

The growing prominence of rCB testing reflects a maturing market in which buyers increasingly demand verified, specification-grade material rather than trial quantities. Standardised measurement of properties such as pellet hardness is central to building that confidence.
