Pyrum Signs Plant Agreement for Czech Tyre Recycling Facility
Tyre Pyrolysis
Pyrum Innovations AG and SUAS reTire s.r.o. have signed a plant purchase agreement to deliver Pyrum’s tyre pyrolysis technology to a planned tire recycling facility in Sokolov, Czech Republic.
A First External Plant Contract
The agreement is Pyrum’s first plant purchase contract for an external facility outside its own sites, supplying its thermolysis technology to a project developed, built and operated by SUAS reTire through their joint venture.
Project Financing Completed
The joint venture has concluded loan agreements with its financing bank in the Czech Republic, meaning the project is now considered fully financed, with an initial payment to Pyrum expected in the coming weeks.
Outputs and Timeline
The Sokolov plant will recycle end-of-life tyres into secondary raw materials including recycled oil and recovered carbon black, with commissioning scheduled for spring 2028.
Expanding Central European Capacity
The facility strengthens regional tyre recycling and recovered carbon black capacity in Central Europe and forms part of Pyrum’s wider push to license its technology beyond its German operations.
