Carbon Fund Backs End-of-Life Tire Recycling in Thailand

ELT Recycling Investment

A carbon-focused fund has completed an investment in PyroEnergie, a leading end-of-life tire recycler in Thailand, marking its first Southeast Asia deployment.

Backing a Market Leader

The Fullerton Carbon Action Fund, managed by Singapore-based Fullerton Fund Management, made PyroEnergie its second investment. The strategy targets established, mid-market leaders that combine scalable decarbonisation impact with strong financial fundamentals, rather than early-stage technology or capital-intensive infrastructure.

Commercial-Scale Operations

Founded in 2016, PyroEnergie operates commercial pyrolysis facilities that convert waste tires into pyrolysis oil, recovered carbon black and steel wire scrap. Its annual capacity exceeds 40 million litres of pyrolysis oil and more than 30 million kilograms of recovered carbon black.

Funding Premium Growth

Investment proceeds will fund a new production facility aimed at upgrading product quality, expanding into premium-grade applications and broadening end-market reach, positioning the company to capture higher-margin segments of the circular materials value chain.
