ABTC Revenue Jumps 407% as Battery Recycling Operations Ramp Up

Battery Recycling

American Battery Technology Company (ABTC) reported sharply higher revenue for fiscal 2026 as it increased throughput at its Nevada lithium-ion battery recycling facility and expanded production of recycled materials and byproducts. The Reno-based company generated $21.7 million in revenue for the fiscal year ended June 30, up 407% from $4.3 million in fiscal 2025.

ABTC continues to ramp toward the facility’s design capacity of about 20,000 metric tons per year, with feedstock from electric vehicles, consumer electronics, battery manufacturing, and grid-scale battery energy storage systems. The company is also advancing a second commercial recycling facility in the Southeast with capacity to process roughly 100,000 metric tons annually, supported by a $150 million U.S. Department of Energy grant.

ABTC is navigating a new federal restriction that could affect the sale of black mass produced at its facility, with a Department of Commerce directive effective Aug. 27 effectively prohibiting export of black mass without an exception or adjustment. The company has submitted an exception request and continues to develop domestic sales channels while storing material pending a decision.
