Majority Stake Deepens a Waste Tire Pyrolysis Partnership
Waste Tire Pyrolysis
Farrel Pomini has expanded its stake in UK waste tire pyrolysis specialist WF Recycle-Tech, gaining majority ownership and tightening the links between the two firms.
A Strengthened Position
Farrel Pomini, headquartered in Ansonia, Connecticut and operating as part of Germany’s HF Group, first took a minority share in WF Recycle-Tech in 2021. The larger investment, announced on January 28, was described by WF Recycle-Tech as a milestone that will speed the commercial rollout of its tire pyrolysis systems.
Patented Process and Mixer Integration
WF Recycle-Tech has developed a patented pyrolysis process that converts end-of-life tires into secondary materials including recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil. The system integrates Farrel’s continuous mixer technology, enabling controlled, scalable processing of tire-derived feedstock.
Backing for Global Growth
Company leaders said joining the HF Group structure opens access to a global support network, technical expertise and long-term investment capacity. The combination of WF Recycle-Tech’s pyrolysis process with Farrel Pomini’s engineering capabilities and HF Group’s infrastructure was framed as a platform to address the growing global challenge of end-of-life tire recycling.

Scaling Waste Tire Pyrolysis Systems
Waste tire pyrolysis recovers recovered carbon black and pyrolysis oil from a material that would otherwise be discarded, supporting a circular approach to rubber.
Klean Industries engineers complete waste tire pyrolysis plants, from shredding and feedstock prep through to recovered material output.
