Waste Energy Corp. signed an LOI to acquire a tire processing operation with 3–5 million tires of annual capacity — a sign of scaling tire-recycling demand.

Tire Recycling At Scale

Midland, Texas-based Waste Energy Corp. has signed a non-binding letter of intent to acquire an established tire processing operation, together with its associated real estate and operating assets. The proposed purchase price is roughly $1.2 million for an industrial property of about 10 acres, with Waste Energy set to hold a 51 percent stake in the acquisition entity.

The target is not being named while negotiations and due diligence continue. Waste Energy expects to announce the outcome once definitive closing documents are signed, or if it elects not to proceed. Should the deal complete and the operation reach its anticipated processing levels, the company believes it could handle between 3 and 5 million tires annually and generate $3 million to $5 million in yearly revenue.

Waste Energy is also advancing the final commissioning of its first commercial-scale waste conversion system in Midland, where the core equipment was installed earlier this year. The company is expanding its physical footprint for waste processing, tire handling and future conversion operations as it evaluates additional resource-recovery opportunities.

The move reflects a broader trend: tire recycling is consolidating around larger, higher-throughput facilities rather than single-site or single-technology plays.
