This June 19-23, more than 6,000 participants from 150 nations will gather in Vancouver, Canada for the Third session of the World Urban Forum. This biennial UN-HABITAT event on urban sustainability examines and identifies solutions to the critical problems facing cities around the globe. The theme of discussions will be Our Future: Sustainable Cities – Turning Ideas into Action.

What makes World Urban Forum unique is that unlike other UN events, discussions are kept informal to encourage dialogue among a wide range of participants, from government leaders and local authorities to non-governmental organizations, grassroots movements, urban professionals, youth and the private sector.

Over five days, participants will have a unique opportunity to exchange and share ideas and best practices, to learn from high-profile speakers and to discover the city of Vancouver, one of Canada’s most beautiful cities.
