With US President Barack Obama pledging to support the transition to a low-carbon future and China’s President Hu Jintao pledging to improve energy efficiency at the UN Climate Change summit in NY, the worlds of finance, investment and broad industries are gauging investment opportunities in low-carbon and clean energy technologies.  

In Cape Town on 22-23 October, top executives of financial institutions from USA, China, Africa and Europe will meet at the UNEP FI Global Roundtable to address these issues from the frontline perspective of banking and investment sectors. Culminating the Cape Town Green Week, the Global Roundtable will take the voice of Africa to the landmark UN Climate Change Summit in Copenhagen.
